What should Peter's parents do??? (Touching Spirit Bear - 8th grade WL)

Cole has hurt Peter. He beat him up to the point that he now has trouble speaking and walking. Peter also has dreams of feeling worthless. Cole wants to help. He decides to try to get Peter to come to the island and spend time there. Cole feels he can show that he is a different person and doesn't want to hurt others. Pretend you are one of Peter's parents. Would you let your son go to the island with the person who beat him up? (Write 5 sentences explaining what you would do and why!)

7th Grade Christmas Carol - What should we tell Scrooge?

We have been reading and discussing A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I want you to pretend that Scrooge comes and asks you for advice about what he should do? Should he give money to charity? 3rd Period WL

In today's reading, Garvey and Edwin use different analogies to talk about Cole's anger. Pick one and explain what it means. Then think of your own analogy and explain how you would talk to Cole about learning to deal, not get rid of, his anger.

As we have been reading about Cole in Touching Spirit Bear by Ben Mikaelsen, we have learned that he is a very angry young boy. Cole is meeting with the Circle to see if he should go back to the island or go to jail. What do you think should happen to Cole? Should he get a second chance at the island or should he finally have to pay for his consequences and go to jail? Please write 3-5 sentences explaining what you think should happen to Cole and give reasons!
