It's a NEW YEAR!!
There just hasn't been enough time this year to post information! I'm finally getting around to getting my blog updated! I am in a new job this year - I am the 7th grade Special Education Teacher! It's been wonderful to work with just one grade level. I wasn't sure how things were going to go, but I have found that I LOVE it! Our 7th graders are getting ready to start our cross-curricular unit, so we should be blogging soon!

Gary Paulsen Facts
We are going to begin reading Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. I want you to list facts about the author. This assignment is worth 10 points. Each fact is worth 1 point! List more than 10 facts for extra credit! Do not repeat facts! (This means I would post each fact separately...otherwise you risk having someone else take a fact....the first person to list it, gets the point!!)

7th Grade Christmas Carol - What should we tell Scrooge?
We have been reading and discussing A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I want you to pretend that Scrooge comes and asks you for advice about what he should do? Should he give money to charity? Should Scrooge go to his nephew, Fred's, for Christmas? Maybe you think that Scrooge is a nice guy that is doing everything right? Write 5 complete sentences (remember how we begin and end sentences!) about what you would tell Scrooge if he came to ask you for advice!
